Brazil

Brazil is a tourist haven. Attracting thousands of tourists from every part of the world, the cultural richness, the breathtaking scenery and the hospitable spirit of its people make this country a unique destination.

To start with, nature is delightful. Several ecological parks and extremely varied ecosystems are found: the tropical forest in the Amazon, the stunted vegetation in the northeast, the Atlantic Forest in the southeast, the vast swamplands in the mid-west and the pampas in the south. Stretching for over seven thousand kilometers of coastline, no one fails to be enchanted by the natural beauty of the veritable paradises of white sand and turquoise waters of the Brazilian beaches.

But, to some it is the cultural heritage that impresses most. Historically, the welcoming Brazilian society created a positive context for miscegenation, turning the country into one of the most racially mixed in the world. This racial integration, which combined European values with African rhythms and the light-hearted spirit of the Amerindians, has fueled an extraordinary intercultural blend, revealed in the music, dance, artwork, architecture, gastronomy, and religions, forging unique regional identities.

Rio de Janeiro, also known as “The Marvelous City”, is a must first stop for its stunningly beautiful landmarks and home of the world’s most exuberant and colorful shows: The Carnival.

But, besides partying, the visitor has a broad range of cultural options available, such as museums, gastronomic options of international quality, operas, symphonic orchestras and spontaneous folk music and dance performances – virtually everywhere.

The heart of Brazil also reserves natural treasures that enchant and surprise even the most experienced travelers. Among these rarities, there is Foz do Iguassu, a city located along the triple border of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. Its greatest attraction is the series of 275 waterfalls a little more than 60 meters high known as Iguassu Falls – one of the most impressive sceneries anywhere.

In southern Brazil, Santa Catarina stands out as an undiscovered jewel for North Americans. The state has a natural vocation for tourism, combining awesome natural beauty with the advantages of a good quality of life, incredible hotel options, services and facilities infrastructure, safety, and beaming warmth everywhere.

The State’s 500 km of coastline offers an array of dazzling beaches and breathtaking mountains and canyons, excellent for eco and adventure tourism. Images of European heritage color the coastline with German, Italian, Portuguese, Hungarian and Polish style houses and traditions, offering visitors an intriguing cultural mix and gastronomic colors.

Large international hotel chains have been operating in Brazil for some time. With the globalization and the dynamism of the international hotel sector, Brazil received large investments in modernization and the creation of new hotels.

Several itineraries may be developed from North America combining Brazil with other destinations in South America, such as, Argentina, Chile and Peru.
